You've made it Randy Johnson's Travel Articles page -- my stories from rough backpack travel in Asia and Latin America, including a few with Maya themes.  Except for one fiction piece, these are absolutely true travel tales, honest! ...(grin).  Many of these articles are quite dated now, but remain interesting perhaps as chronicles of Third World travel before mass tourism struck.  Twelve have been previously published in magazines and newspapers, but I retain copyrights. Updated Feb, 2003
